TREKKING IN VALSASSINA 4-5-6 SEPTEMBER

3-Day Itinerant High Altitude Equestrian Trekking

This is an experience designed for those who love real nature, traveling horseback riding and field life. It will be three intense, rustic and adventurous days, where we will disconnect from everything to experience the mountains in a simple and spartan way, spending one night in a tent and one in a refuge.

    WHERE DO YOU SLEEP

    • First night in a tent: A real bivouac under the sky to experience the essence of wild equestrian tourism. Possibility to rent tents.
    • Second night in a Refuge: A cozy stop in a facility in Val Taleggio to rest, dine together and recharge your energy for the last stop.

    THREE-DAY ITINERARY

    1. DAY 1 - Between beech woods and high altitude pastures

Departure from base camp in Morterone (LC). We climb up to the high pastures of the Costa del Palio, from where we can enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. From there we will start the descent along the paths until we reach the small town of Morterone. Under the impressive rocky walls of Monte Resegone we will set up our base camp to spend the first night in a tent under the stars.

    2. DAY 2 - Towards Val Taleggio

Wake up at dawn, breakfast in nature and get back in the saddle. We leave Morterone to face the ascent to the Piani di Artavaggio, a beautiful plateau that offers a panoramic view of the surrounding peaks. We will ride high and then descend along the Bergamo side until we enter the wild Val Taleggio, where an alpine refuge awaits us for an overnight stay.

    3. DAY 3 - Return to Morterone

On the last day, we return to Morterone. We will follow an alternative itinerary, treading on new trails to enjoy the energy of the Orobiche Prealps to the last second. At lunch we will arrive in Morterone, where we will all stop together for a final barbecue to celebrate the end of the adventure.
